RAB Island and Town
The island of Rab is situated in the Kvarner .It is 22 km long and the Velebit canal separates the island
from the mainland.The main town on the island is also named Rab. It has 554 residents (2001) and is
located on a small peninsula on the southwestern side of the island.Other towns are Barbat, Banjol,
Palit, Kampor, Mundanije, Supetarska Draga and Lopar.There are lots of smaller islands around Rab:
Goli, Grgur, Maman, Lagnj Veli, Laganj Mali, Dolfin Veli, Dolfin Mali and others...
Ferries connect the island of Rab with the mainland port of Jablanac and with the
neighbouring island Krk.
